Nillumbik Art And Artists

Part of Melbourne’s Valley of the Arts, working studios creating art in this area of great natural beauty has nurtured a vibrant community of creative people.

Historically, artists set up painters’ camps which gave way to permanent colonies of artists and artisans - Montsalvat in Eltham and Dunmoochin in Cottles Bridge.

30 artists in 20 studios participate in the Open Studios program held annually. Artists specialise in ceramics, drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, bookbinding.
